If you look up 1950s America in the dictionary, chances are a photo
of a Bel Air will be next to the definition. Despite a long
production run from 1951 to 1981, the most famous Bel Airs are the
1955 to 1957 models. The styling was unique and all new, with even
a Ferrari inspired grill. Powerful V8s and optional automatic
transmission meant the Bel Air was cutting edge as far as
mechanicals. It was a high water mark for Chevrolet and the cars
were even referred to as the "Hot One" in marketing literature.

Matador Red, this restored Bel Air is as nice as they come. Every
bit of the exterior is super nice and looks as nice as it did when
it left the factory. Some of the exterior features included
whitewall tires with knock off hubcaps, fender skirts, dual
mirrors, twin exhaust pipes, headlight eyebrows, and fender trim.
Everything is absolutely gorgeous and the aluminum and chrome
details are some of the greatest features in automotive design. The
interior is likewise in superb condition and features wonderful red
vinyl and black patterned cloth. Everything is tight and free of
imperfections. The trim is shiny and nothing sags. Even the dome
light and radio work.
Originally sold new in North Carolina, the car has been through a
few owners over the years who have kept it in amazing condition and
considered it an investment piece. A significantly sized folder
accompanies the vehicle and is full of recipts and documents.
Nothing was spared in keep this car in optimal shape. The 283cid V8
is mated to the factory 2-speed powerglide automatic transmission.
