For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet C10 in Scottsdale, Arizona

Vehicle Description

SALE PENDING

When Chevrolet introduced the second generation of the C10, buyers had an option of three trim levels; Standard as the base, Custom for the mid-level and Custom Sport Truck (CST for short) as the top of the line. The standard offered a no-frills, get-the-job-done truck for those who simply needed utility and nothing more, but for buyers that wanted more luxury and style, the CST was the way to go. The exterior was enhanced with multiple body side moldings to break up the optional two-tone paint as well as a simulated wood-grain stripe running the length of the truck and across the tailgate. The bumpers were finished in chrome instead of painted. Additional trim was added around the windows and tailgate to give the truck an upscale appearance. On the inside, buyers had an option of bench or bucket seats with upgraded vinyl door panels and various bits of brightwork to complete the higher end feel. By 1969 multiple power options were available; five in total, ranging from a 250ci inline 6-cylinder to a monstrous 396 big-block V8.

This particular 1969 short-bed C10 was built from the factory as a CST trim, equipped with a 396ci big-block V8, automatic transmission, air conditioning, heavy-duty suspension, power brakes, power steering and rear posi-traction. Painted in the original color combination of dark green and white, it sports a Saddle interior with rare bucket seats and center console, featuring all the amenities of the CST interior. As highly optioned as the truck came originally, the engine currently features original GM aluminum heads and intake manifold, almost as if it were a factory special. Several upgrades have been made to enhance the driving experience, including a polished tilt steering column and a retro-look modern stereo. Overall this C10 CST is an excellent example of a highly optioned factory truck set up for performance.
