Gateway Classic Cars Philadelphia is pleased to present this
menacing 1968 Chevrolet Camaro! The Camaro was GM's answer to the
popular Ford Mustang which garnered significant attention and sales
to the general public. This pony car was different from the
competition in design, performance and even its name which
supposedly was chosen after Chevrolet's marketing team wrote down
more than 2,000 words beginning with "C" in order to keep the
tradition going with its cars starting with the letter. While the
true definition of the name was debated, Chevrolet countered with
this, "A Camaro is a small, vicious animal that eats Mustangs."
This car is that and then some! Acquired from a long time car
builder from Ohio, the car was soda blasted and mounted on a
rotisserie. It was found that the fenders had rust damage so they
were replaced with Classic Industries inner and outer fenders. A
set of JEGS frame rails were installed as well as new body and
trunk pans. All of the work was done on a frame jig to maintain the
square of the car. After all was said and done, it was decided to
paint the car black due to the straightness of the body! This
Camaro wears Delco two-part gloss black paint that shimmers in the
light and conveys all the muscle car goodness thanks to a crisp
white sport stripe that graces the front and sides of the vehicle!
A great exterior needs a sharp interior to match and this Camaro
delivers! Open the doors to reveal a clean interior featuring fresh
bucket seats, new headliner, door panels, carpet and much more!
Grad a hold of the shifter and get ready for some action! This
Chevy has a magnafluxed Muncie four-speed manual transmission that

iconic classic is a NAPA crate 355 CID V8 engine bored .30 over
and rated at 375 horsepower! The healthy powerplant features the
following: TRW pistons, Crane cam and lifters, MSD Coil, wires
and terminal ends, Edelbrock manifold and 750cfm carburetor,
