Vehicle Description
This 1974 BMW 2002 was being restored by the previous owner who
focused on the motor and drivetrain before deciding to sell.
Approximately $10,000 in work was performed at Schneller BMW in
Newbury Massachusetts. The bottom end of the motor has been
rebuilt. A new Webber 2-barrel carburetor, new manifold, new
exhaust system, new gas tank and lines, and many other new parts
that can be seen on the engine pictures and detailed receipts.
The Malaga colored body is in good condition besides rust on rocker
panels (pic included) and scattered undercarriage surface rust. The
original paint needs buff and wax. The interior is in fair
condition besides the front seats which are torn. All driving
lights and wipers work. The car drives well. The odometer is
currently broken, the last reading 50,000 miles. The motor is
correct and numbers matching. This 2002 was originally automatic
but has been properly converted to a standard 4-speed manual
transmission that shifts well. The 1974 BMW 2002 is a great car to
cruise around in for those that would enjoy finishing restoration a
little at a time, or enjoying it as is. Please give us a call to
take a look at the car if you'd like to see it in more detail.
*The car has recently been professionally detailed. The paint was
clayed, compounded, and waxed.
