Vehicle Description
This stellar custom 210 is powered by a Chevrolet Performance ZZ502
crate engine mated to a 4L60E automatic transmission with a TCI
controller. It is equipped with aluminum roller rocker arms,
Hilborn stack injectors that work with a FAST engine controller,
3.5" chromoly steel driveshaft, and stainless rear-exit exhaust.
The 9" axle was narrowed and fitted with 3.73:1 gears, 31-spline
axles and a limited-slip differential. This '55 uses a custom
rectangular frame, Heidts Superide front and 4-link rear suspension
modules, including the splined, adjustable, and huge 1.5" front
bar, single-adjustable QA1 coilovers, and power rack & pinion
steering. The 9" axle is supported by a triangulated 4-link.
Wilwood, 6-piston calipers on 14" rotors at all corners provide
stopping power to the Budnik Tiller 5 wheels. Airbrushed '56 side
moldings were incorporated into the custom-mixed paint. The body
was rubbed smooth and the door handles were shaved; the front turn
signals flush-mounted using '57 backup lights and all side molding
removed. The hood was reworked so it opens back to front, a billet
grille and custom taillights were installed, the bumpers were
reshaped for tighter fit, the firewall and transmission tunnel
smoothed, a gas-fill similar to the '56 Chevy incorporated, and
hand-built inner fenders and custom radiator shroud were added.
Painless/custom wiring harness was also added during the build. The
interior features custom-built leather-suede bucket seats and
bench, custom console, door panels, headliner, waterfall console
between the rear seats and trunk. It has a great sound system with
a Pioneer head unit, hidden speakers throughout, amplifiers, a
Vintage Air HVAC system, custom Classic Instruments gauges, shift
indicator and a custom air/fuel mixture meter as well as a custom
clock. It also has an Ididit steering column, Billet Specialties
steering wheel, and shifter out of an '07 Mustang GT.
