Vehicle Description
This Plum Crazy Challenger has been upgraded with the A53 Trans Am
package. It is powered by the notorious Trans Am drivetrain and
equipment. Starting out as a very straight rust-free 1971
Challenger convertible, with the help of a full 1970 T/A running
gear, this Challenger was transformed into an amazing road muscle
car. It includes the 340ci Six Pack T/A engine, T/A 4-speed manual
transmission with the pistol-grip shifter, HD 8.75 axel with
Sure-Grip, T/A brakes and suspension, factory T/A side-exit
exhaust, Rally gauges, T/A hood and rear ducktail spoiler, and of
course the black T/A striping. The full rotisserie restoration was
done in 2001-2002, including a new convertible top and interior.
All parts have been rebuilt, restored or replaced with new. In
2010, it received a new cosmetic makeover (repainting from bare
metal) in the correct Plum Crazy color with a laser-straight
finish. Lots of documentation and pictures of the restorations come
with the car. From the John Staluppi Cars of Dreams Collection.
