European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this very rare and unique 1962 Citroen DS ID19 Break Wagon straight out of a long term Southern CA ownership. The Citroen is still wearing its original CA Black plates. Finished in Citroen Bleu Monte Carlo over Grey, this rare Break Wagon wears an older repaint that shows very well for its age with minor defects and blemishes. Small stone chips on the front nose and small little chips throughout the rear hatch and upper roof line are visible some having been touched up over time. The exterior chrome and trim appear to be original and in nice presentable shape with minor haze in the chrome and a small scrape in the rear driver side trim towards the rear tail light. The interior seat trim and carpets have been replaced at one point in the cars life and all shows well. The dash and switchgear all look to be in excellent condition with no damage or cracks in the dash top. The engine starts right up and pulls smoothly through all of the gears. The engine runs very well and strong having just had a carb rebuild and a full service. The hydraulic suspension is fully operational as designed with recent work done to the rear two hydraulic shocks. All of the ride height settings are working and the car levels on its own. The brakes and clutch work well and there are no signs of fade in the brakes. The suspension feels very smooth while cruising and the car feels solid at higher cruising speeds. Accompanied with the sale of the lovely Break Wagon is the original owner handbook, instruction book, original keys, original jack, tools and spare. This is a very rare opportunity to acquire a part of Citroen history that rarely is seen here in the states.
