Vehicle Description
This 1955 Chevrolet 3100 pickup recently received a full custom
build with a King cab stretch, '59 Fleetside bed and a '55 Bel Air
dash. The truck received new modern suspension with a Heidts IFS
unit up front with tubular A-arms, adjustable coilovers and power
rack & pinion steering. The rear suspension consists of a 4-link
setup with adjustable coilovers. Stopping power comes from a
Wilwood master cylinder and plumbing with 4-wheel Corvette disc
brakes. The engine is a new 454/425hp HO from GM Performance, and
features aluminum heads and FAST electronic fuel injection with
Billet Specialties serpentine belt-drive pulley system. The
transmission is a TCI 4L60E automatic overdrive with a 12-bolt
posi-traction rear axle. The custom leather interior features
Impala bucket seats and a '55 Bel Air dash housing Dakota Digital
instruments. Other features include air conditioning, chrome tilt
column and power windows. With a smooth ride and the new
drivetrain, this truck is fast and fun to drive, and has less than
1,000 miles since completion.
