Vehicle Description
This is a tremendous opportunity to obtain a solid, strong, older
restored Big Healey at an entry level price.I state older
restoration but looking through the thousands and thousands of
dollars spent in the late 80s,early 90s,it appears it was a
cosmetic restoration on a solid, low mileage example. The mechanical
work was spent sorting and refreshing a 43000 mile car.Suspension
components, clutches, wheels sent to Dayton wire wheel for truing, new
pumps, brake lines, rotors and on and on mechanically. The cosmetics
were done on what appears to be a solid, minimum (very minimal) rust
car.In the records we have pictures of the car disassembled, very
solid piece. In addition to pictures we have thousands in service
tickets, letters from owner to shop and back. The mileage are
believed to be original, there is a small spiral notebook like we
all had in the day recording miles, gas prices and dates. The mileage
is consistent with records. The reason I have priced the car at this
level is that the restoration has patina. The interior has some
flaws, the undercarriage needs to be detailed. The exhaust is
stainless steel. Now for the good, this car drives amazing, very
tight(a little shimmy from old tires that have been sitting),engine
is smooth,starts easily,does not smoke,the tranny is
quiet, tight, and correct. The overdrive works but a little slow on
engaging, never the less works going in and out.Glass is good, side
windows work you a little going up and down.I put a small crack in
back window of top when putting it down for photographs(it is small
and at the very bottom).Body is straight with nice gaps and doors
that work easily.I have been in this business for 44 years, the
Healey was the car that interested me and got me involved with
collector cars,I have had hundreds, this is a good car.The car is
located 25 miles east of downtown Nashville Tn.Independent
inspections are welcomed and encouraged.I have tried to provide
enough pictures for one to discern if this is an example one would
like to pursue. If the car interest you, contact me at
615-971-4409.There will be an additional $299 for dealer doc fee on
final agreed upon transaction amount.
