For sale in our Dallas-Fort Worth showroom is a 1967 AC Cobra
Replica. The Shelby Cobra was first made in 1961 when Carroll
Shelby wrote to AC Cars, a British automotive company, and asked if
they could build him a car with a V8 instead of their V6. Ford
supplied the engine, at Carroll Shelby's request, so they could
compete with Chevrolet's Corvette. This Shelby Cobra replica is in
impressive condition. The car was built starting with a Shell
Valley body and frame kit in 2012. Since then, only 435 miles have
been put on the clock. Powering the Cobra is Ford's venerable 351
Cleveland, mated to a Tremec 5 speed manual transmission. This
engine/trans combo makes for a truly enjoyable driving experience
at any speed. Behind the excellent powertrain is a Jaguar
independent rear suspension, which puts down the power very
smoothly. The desirability of the car isn't limited to what is
under the body, however. This Cobra is painted in PPG Top Brand
1994 Viper Blue, a truly striking color when matched to the silver
racing stripes. The interior is a done very cleanly, with black
carpet and black leather. The radio and CD player is pumped through
a sound system that is actually audible while driving this amazing
machine. To view this 1967 AC Cobra replica in greater detail,
