This car was born with a 4.6 V8 and built over a 5 year period living as a summer only ride. It started with a ford racing HP inter cooled Whipple supercharger and racing tune installed by Ford. With that much power under the hood the transformation continued at Brenspeed race shop, where there was a motor back drive train swap, starting with a new McLeod flywheel with matching twin Disc 1000hp RXT clutch surrounded by a Tremec NHRA certified bell housing and finished with an all new Tremec Magnum XL. This 6-speed transmission this intertwines with a 3.5" aluminum 1 piece drive shaft with 1350 u-joints enclosed with safety loops to keep it legal for competition. To complete the dream set up Brenspeed mated that into a monster Moser 9" differential which has been optioned with Wavetrac internals, a Dana 3.90 drive gear, and an aluminum braced rear end holding 35-spline axles. Keeping the differential properly located are custom upper & lower control arms, all with heim joints for zero deflection or wheel hop under power. Handling was improved with FRP. (Ford racing performance)Front and rear 6 way adjustable shocks/struts with adjustable camber caster plates(front)+BMR front & rear lowering spring complemented by adjustable panhard with heavy duty rear sway bar. This set up eats and breathes 1/4 mile or SCCA racing with NO fear of down time. For safety, a certified 6-point cage with removable hinged bars for easy in and out. In addition, 5-point seat restraints to hold you and your copilot in place have been fitted, making it a breeze to pilot this Mustang under hard cornering. Kenny Brown Racing, the suspension king, is where the Bear Extreme mono-block 6-piston calipers and FRC500 vacuum calibrated power booster were installed, along with huge 14" 2-piece slotted Bear rotors on all four corners. Additional front cooling ducts tied into the beautiful Roush front fascia to aid brake cooling were added, as well. To clear those massive brakes 19"x10" wheels were installed on all four corners wearing Nitto NT05 275/30/19 up front and 305/30/19 in back. Kenny did his Magic to tweak the suspension including frame connectors tied to a Kenny Brown matrix kit, jack rails and a pro-forge bump steer kit to make it feel like it's glued to rails on the road. This vehicle easily out-handles far more expensive vehicles! All in all this sleeper looks like a grocery getter but loves to beat up on those unsuspecting poser's while the AC is on listing to that crisp 500 watt Shaker stereo system. Then you open it up and let it breath thru the Ford Racing Performance Gt500 KR exhaust and all they'll see is tail lights till you let them catch up. Front end modifications include a Roush front grill, Raxiom Hid bulbs with projectors along with switch back running lights, and Morrimoto led fog lights complete with rear sequential turn signals. With just a hair over 19,000 original miles this was already a like-new Mustang. Add in all of the performance upgrades and enhancements, and it is better than new.
