Vehicle Description
The Land Cruiser is Toyotas longest running series. It began in
1951 and is still made to this day. It has been produced in
convertible, hardtop, station wagon and utility truck versions. It
is known worldwide for it's reliability and longevity. The FJ-60
was produced from 1980 thorough 1989 for most worldwide markets. It
retained the rugged off-road characteristics of previous Cruisers
but was designed to better compete in the emerging sport utility
market making it a little more refined for urban driving.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1987 Toyota FJ60 Land
Cruiser for all to consider. This Land Cruiser was purchased new at
Precision Toyota of Tucson, AZ in August of 1987. This Land Cruiser
is powered by Toyota's legendary 4.2 liter inline 6 cylinder
engine, 4 speed manual transmission and Toyotas proven 4 wheel
drive system with locking front hubs. This Land Cruiser is equipped
with power steering, power brakes, tile steering wheel, tinted
glass, steel skid plate, center console, front tow hook, dual sport
outside mirrors, tachometer, gauges, and halogen headlamps. Factory
options include air conditioning, chrome front and rear bumpers,
chrome grill and moldings, chrome wheels, AM/FM Radio, rear
defogger, rear wiper, rear heater and headlamp washers. Since
purchased new this Land Cruiser remained in Arizona until 2016
where it was sold to a party in Oregon until our recent
acquisition. It appears that this Land Cruiser has had a total of
three owners with the first owner having it for nearly 20 years.
There is a mountain of service records that come with this Land
Cruiser indicating routine maintenance and nothing being left
unchecked. Today as a result of residing in a dry climate and its
stellar service history, at just over 200000 miles, this FJ60
remains in excellent overall condition cosmetically and
mechanically, runs and drives great and is ready for immediate
enjoyment.
