Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1968 Triumph TR4A
roadster. This TR4 is a remarkably well-preserved and unmolested
example showing 57,000 miles, and we believe the Wedgewood Blue
paint to be original. With the same Georgia owner for 11 years but
driven sparingly and kept in the garage.
Recently fully serviced by a local English car specialist who
completed a full tune up, fluid changes, battery, brake hoses, fuel
hoses, radiator hoses, new fuse box, powder coated the original
wheels in the correct cream color and installed new tires. A new
Amco top and new seat upholstery were also fitted. The interior is
otherwise original with some patina but no signs of abuse - we
would likely choose to replace the carpet at some point but would
leave the rest alone.
The Wedgewood Blue paint shows a wonderful light patina and a few
touch ups but we wouldn't dare commission a repaint - they're only
original once. Gaps, chrome, emblems, trim are in excellent
original condition; the windshield gasket has cracked from age.
Underneath this Triumph is the best we have seen in years - it's
all original with no rust, repairs, patches or undercoating. The
engine and gearbox perform as they should and the car has an
overall "put-together" feeling that you only get from low mileage
original cars.
