1960 Chevrolet Corvette In 1958 the Corvette's body received an
updated look with a longer front end and quad headlamps, bumper
exiting exhaust tips, and some interior changes. The result created
a small era from 1958 -'62 that saw what many consider to be the
banner machines in the Corvette Legacy. The last of the smoothly
contoured straight-axle models the 1960 Corvette was little changed
in exterior appearance but, engineer Zora Arkus-Duntov carried on
as relentlessly as ever searching for ways to improve its overall
performance. The 1960 Corvette was the first to reflect this
thinking. In addition to significant improvements in the overall
ride quality and handling produced by using softer springs with
front and rear sway bars, the 1960 Corvette benefited from improved
brake cooling, and it increased rear-axle travel to reduce
bottoming out. This Corvette convertible is equipped with
Chevrolets tried tested and true built proof 283 engine mated to a
2-speed Powerglide transmission. Finished in beautiful classic
Roman Red exterior complemented by Ermine White coves. �A matching

The two red vinyl bucket seats are in excellent shape and really
stand out thanks to chrome trim that separates the body from the

stretches across the dash, and just below it a 7000 RPM tachometer
is flanked by four smaller gauges that houses the fuel, battery,
