For Sale: 1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS in Manitowoc, Wisconsin

Vehicle Description

Here is a Pro Touring style 1969 Camaro that brings a lot to the table.  This car has been redone as an RS/SS replica with loads of goodies; full RideTech suspension, 4-wheel disc brakes, Tremec 5-speed transmission, air conditioning, and lots more.  Combine all this with the classic look of a 1969 Camaro with a wicked stance and 18” wheels and you’ve got something to get excited about.

The car was painted silver along with black D90 SS striping.  It’s a great contrast, further accented by the tinted windows and SS badging.  There is also a 2” cowl hood, front splitter, and rear spoiler.  All chrome is new along with the front and rear bumper guards.  The Rally Sport features are always a hit too; this car’s headlight doors work great and the backup lights are properly mounted in the rear valence panel.  And you can’t miss the Boss Motorsports wheels with BF Goodrich g-Force Sport tires.

The drivetrain uses a rebuilt 350ci with a great sounding cam, good power, and surprising street manners.  The aluminum radiator and electric fan keep things cool, and the ceramic coated headers look magnificent.  The transmission has been converted to a Tremec T5 with overdrive.  This works great with the 4.10 gears in the 12-bolt rear end, maintaining great acceleration while keeping rpm’s down on the highway.

This Camaro has additional equipment and modifications to enhance the driving experience.  It has power steering along with Wilwood 4-wheel power disc brakes.  This makes the car easy for anyone to drive, whether in the parking lot or out on the road.  The entire suspension has been converted to a RideTech setup with adjustable coilovers front and rear.  This is a big (and expensive) improvement over the 1960’s technology.

Of course the black interior has also been redone.  It starts with the comfortable Procar bucket seats and their generous bolsters.  The carpet, door panels, headliner, and dash are all new.  The center console is highlighted by the Hurst shifter along with the vintage arrangement of Auto Meter gauges.  Note the correct 5-speed shift pattern on the console plaque.  There is also a tachometer mounted on the a-pillar.  The factory style controls operate a modern R134a air conditioning system.  The stereo sounds fantastic and has a trunk-mounted amplifier.  And speaking of the trunk, it has also been finished off with black carpet.

First generation Camaros are forever popular.  This one takes the outstanding 1969 design and adds all the right ingredients (at great expense) to create a perfect blend of old and new.  And while these Pro Touring style cars can sell for well into six figures, this one remains a relative bargain that will be hard to match.

All vehicle trades considered, including classics and performance.  I can assist with financing and transport as needed.
