Offering for sale in AS IS condition, a 1966 Oldsmobile Toranado, no front cornering lamps. This was my college car, purchased from original owner in 1970. Driven until about 1974 when it began a full body off restoration with about 75,000 miles on the odometer. I contracted with an erderly but very good body man who found as I remember almost all the outer sheet metal and trim in a local Olds dealer inverntory. The dealer was going out of business and we bought everythnig he had for this car as new/old stock. The car was reassembled and ran just before the body man passed on. It was driven about 10 miles and stored since in a building that lacked proper ventilation. Mold has infested the interior to the point that I would guess all the fabric, leather and hard surfaces have damage to some extent. I would describe this car as a strong runner when parked 40+ years ago, as nice as you will find on the outside, and as bad as you will probably find on the inside. I realize that it will take a lot of time and money to restore this car, if it is possible at all. I have no clue how much that might cost, therefore I'm going to accept the best offer after a reasonable period of time.
This car still is the most fantastic car I have ever driven. It seems to have as much room inside as a small RV and will leave any American muscle car from that era spinning its wheels at the starting line of a drag race while it rockets straight down the road. My guess is that if you get it running it would still know it's way home from some of the bars in Kent, Ohio. I hope someone can do something with it.
