1970 Plymouth Roadrunner Convertible
383 Magnum V-8 Engine
Pistol Grip Manual Transmission
Two Owner History
The Plymouth Roadrunner burst onto the muscle car scene for model
year 1968 and remained a huge hit during it's 4 year run. For
the 1970 Model year, only 658 rolled off the assembly line with the
optional convertible top. Drilling down even further, of the
658 convertibles produced, only 179 had the 4sp manual
transmission.
The example presented at auction is a 2 owner car which was last
registered 23 years ago in '95. The former owner had held
this car in his collection nestled in one of two pole barns with 14
classic Mopars! He was the first owner of most of the cars
and second owner of the rest...30 miles off the highway in a
mid-west corn field.
After a bit of loving care the car now runs and drives
great. This is a numbers correct car
with EB5 blue fire
metallic, V3W white
convertible, D21 pistol grip 4
speed, E63 383 Magnum. The bottom
is cleaner than the top, and the top is CLEAN. The all
original R11 code 2 watt AM radio still
works! This find will be an incredible addition to any
collection.
Auction Estimate: $80,000-90,000
