Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1987 Ferrari Mondial 3.2
Cabriolet with 43,000 original miles. This Mondial is a one-owner
example that was special ordered through FAF (now Ferrari of
Atlanta) at a cost of $79,000 and has remained in Atlanta ever
since. The Nero (black) over tan color combination is a welcome
departure from the typical red and is hard to find. The 3.2
Mondials addressed many shortcomings of the earlier cars in
performance, reliability and cosmetics - and make for an attractive
and easy-to-own package.
This example is accompanied by its original books in leather folio,
tools, jack in bag, sales/order documentation, window sticker, two
sets of original keys, clean CarFax and service records. The
beautiful wood MOMO steering wheel is a nice period touch. It was
mainly serviced at the dealer, although it has been driven
sparingly for the past several years until our acquisition. A
timing belt service with roller bearings and an oil change were
just completed and it's running and driving well (see video).
Manual convertible top (and boot cover) both in good condition.
One repaint to a driver standard plus some dye-work on the leather
in years past means this Ferrari is is probably not going to place
at the Cavallino Classic - but it's an eminently presentable car
that offers a lot of driving and aural pleasure at an approachable
