For Sale: 1972 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme in Robinson, Texas

Vehicle Description

This beautiful Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme convertible was positioned as a premium offering at the top of the Cutlass range. During the mid-1970s, the Cutlass Supreme became not only the most popular Oldsmobile but the highest-selling model in its class. This truly impressive Oldsmobiles color treatment is the extremely rare triple white consisting of white exterior, interior and convertible top. Only 11,571 Cutlass Supreme convertibles were manufactured for the 1972 run so you can be pretty sure that youll have one of the few, if any, 72 triple whites still in existence. The engine propelling this compelling ride is a genuine 350-cubic inch Oldsmobile, not the generic GM 350 of later years. Back in the day, each GM division utilized their own, specifically-designed engines. And Oldsmobile garnered lasting fame by launching GMs first overhead valve V-8, the legendary Rocket motor of 1949. The Rocket propelled Olds to many NASCAR wins in the late 1940s and early 1950s. The 350 in this Cutlass is a direct descendent of the famous 1949 Rocket and still makes a strong showing on the street. This Supreme boasts a full range of options, including air conditioning converted to 134-A Freon, power steering/brakes, modern radio/CD player with multi-speakers producing a great sound experience. This classic also sports an d dual exhaust system with Flow-Masters producing a melodious exhaust symphony. Since GMs mismanagement of the brand resulted in its demise after the 1999 model year, this is one of the few opportunities youll have to own a truly RARE and almost like-new example of an automotive brand which first appeared in 1897. 1972 was the final year for the rear-wheel drive Olds Cutlass Supreme convertible and it was the best-selling convertible in the U.S. that year, capturing 16 of the market, beating both the Corvette and Cadillac El Dorado. Nothing more needs to be said!
