The Continental Mark Series has been marketed by the Lincoln
Division of Ford Motor Company since 1956 to denote their flagship
personal luxury vehicle. While sharing little to no common
bodywork, the Mark series would share much of its underpinnings
with the Ford Thunderbird with the exception of 1977-1979 when the
Thunderbird was downsized. This 1978 Continental Mark V represented
a major revision vs. the Mark IV. At just short of 20 feet long, it
demands attention. Motor Trend Magazine quoted the following, "The
Mark V was the essence of unconstrained American automotive
opulence, conceived at a time when fuel economy and space
efficiency were the concerns of lesser cars". This survivor sports
a 460 cid V8, the largest displacement powerplant available in the
US at the time. This engine was actually banned in the State of
California. Additional features include power steering, power
brakes, power windows AM/FM Stereo and leather interior. A very
unique feature found on this vehicle is the rare power Moon-Roof
option that seems to extend forever! This Lincoln Continental Mark
V is located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this vehicle
