For sale in our Houston showroom is a superb 1967 Camaro RS/SS
resto-mod. This is one of the finer examples of a Gen1 Camaro that
you'll find. Creative Classics recently completed the entire
restoration project on this RS/SS, and added a bunch of very custom
touches to this build, which was completed just under 1000 miles
ago. Starting with a gorgeous Merlot-over-Dark Gray Metallic paint
job, which is tied together by a very subtle, almost undetectable
transition strip of Charcoal, this car screams "classy" and
complete. Even before you open the hood to find the color-matched
engine bay, complete with its tidied up firewall and inner fenders,
you know you're looking at something special. Open that hood, and
find all sorts of polished goodies: from the master cylinder and
brake booster, to the valve covers and air filter housing, to the
polished serpentine belt system brackets and attached accessories,
the attention to detail is obvious. With that level of detail to
the visible, it should be self-evident that the attention to that
which isn't visible is equally well executed. The 350 CID V8 fires
to life with a bark, and settles into a lopey idle, letting the
casual observer know right away that this isn't just all show.
Keeping this beast cool is a massive aluminum radiator, complete
with a huge electric fan. Topped with an Edelbrock performer
manifold and Demon carb, and snarling out through ceramic coated
long tube headers into a custom Flowmaster-equipped dual exhaust,
this is one mouse that will roar. The powerful 350 is backed by a
Muncie 4-speed manual transmission that's equipped with a Hurst
shifter, and sends the power out back to a GM 12 bolt rear with
3.71:1 gears. Even though it has Hankook Ventus V12 performance
radial tires at all four corners, the rears will definitely be the
first to go, as the driver won't be able to resist lighting things
up on a regular basis. Open the door, slip into the glove leather
seating, adjust the tilt steering wheel to your preference, light
that mill up, grab the gearshift, clutch pedal in, stab first, and
drop the hammer...and you'll be in heaven. Cruising was never so
classy and fun! If you find yourself too far into triple digits
(shame on you!), the power 4 wheel disc brakes will get you legal
in no time, stopping surely time after time. If you prefer hard
launches over the twisties, the full-length subframe connectors
will keep the unibody from going all pretzel on you; but if you
like the twisties, having the subs tied front to rear will help
keep things planted evenly at all four corners. While you're out on
the town capturing all of the stares that you'll be getting, you'll
be plenty comfortable in the cabin. The rich smell of leather fills
the all-new interior, while you get settled in behind the
thick-rimmed polished billet steering wheel and buckle in. The new
retro-look gauges in the dual gauge nacelles provide more systems
monitoring than the stock dash ever did, with a full suite of
gauges nestled in the two pods. On the road, turn the vintage-style
AM/FM radio, tune to your favorite station, crank up the ice-cold
Vintage Air, and roll out; but you'd better grab this pristine
resto-mod before it's gone! Options on this 1967 Camaro RS/SS
resto-mod include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio, Custom Aluminum
Wheels, Leather Interior, Power Brakes, Power Steering, Radial
Tires, Seat Belts, Trunk-mount Optima battery with cutoff, and Tilt
Wheel. For more information on this brilliant 1967 Camaro RS/SS
