Gateway Classic Cars of Philadelphia welcomes this beautiful 1978
Ford F150 Pickup to its showroom located in West Deptford, NJ! It
can be said that America has had a deep appreciation for pickups
since their introduction in the early 1900s. Ford has been there
since the beginning, producing some of the most iconic utility
vehicles in which many have shared an abundance of memories. This
1978 Ford F150 Pickup has seen a lot of good times and was sold new
at Rosen-Novak Ford in Denver, Colorado! Immediately after
purchase, the owner had an aluminum camper cap installed over the
bed area and added shag carpet and two benches that converted into
a bed so that he and his wife could travel in the truck! Additional
items included a large store pouch behind the seat and CB radio
that certainly conveys the convoy craze that spread throughout the
country at that time. The current owner kept most of these
nostalgic goodies except for the camper cap, bed seats and shag
carpet which revealed a well-preserved bed area with limited wear!
The interior of this truck is a trip back in time to the late 70s,
with the immaculate bench seat and super clean carpet, door panels
and headliner! Powering this green machine is a 300-cubic inch
straight-six engine, a staple of American truck culture. Throughout
its 31 years in service, the 300 inline-six has found its way into
not only pickups, but also airline tugs, tractors, irrigation
pumps, and snow plows. Linked to this dependable powerplant in a
4-speed overdrive manual transmission that shifts just as nicely as
when it left the dealer! Since bringing this truck to the East
Coast, the current owner has treated it to a full-service treatment
including flushing fluids, replacing the shocks and tuning this
beauty to driving perfection! The original carburetor was jetted
for the higher altitudes of Colorado, so it was replaced with a
remanufactured unit for versatile driving. This truck is a true
survivor and includes an extensive collection of documents
including invoices, original bill of sale as well as the last
Colorado inspection papers from 2003 when the first owner stopped
driving it around Arvada, Colorado. In addition, the new owner will
receive the original owner's manual pack, a numerous assortment of
service and parts receipts and a framed document from the dealer
commemorating the purchase! This F150, purchased with the rare
Explorer Package, was truly well-cared for by its owners and is
ready for its next chapter! It is believed that the mileage is true
as supported by the documents included. Don't waste any more time
as original trucks like these are hard to come by in the condition
seen here! Call us today to make this F150 yours today! Additional
features include Air Conditioning, AM/FM Radio with Cassette, Power
Steering, Power Brakes, Factory Mag Style Wheel Covers and Seat
Belts. To view this 1978 Ford F150 in greater detail, including HD
