History
Mercedes-Benz E-Class is a range of executive cars manufactured by
German automaker Mercedes-Benz in various engine and body
configurations. Produced since 1993, the E-Class falls midrange in
the Mercedes line-up, and has been marketed worldwide across five
generations.
Mechanical Specs:
The engine in the roadster is the familiar 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6.
It is mated to a seven-speed automatic transmission. Mercedes
claims the V6 E350 drop-top will reach needs just 6.3 seconds for
0-60 MPH with top speed limited to 130 mph.
The E350 comes with standard features such as leather seats, a
14-way power driver's seat, Aircap, burled walnut trim, two-zone
climate control, and seven airbags. The E350's stopping performance
is solid, with the 60-0 test taking just 110 feet, and handling is
confident and composed. Crisp turn-in response and a planted
demeanor when rounding corners will enhance your driving
experience.
Interior
The interior includes great front bucket seats and power
tilt-and-telescoping steering wheel help driving positions and the
individual rear seats are well shaped. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz
E350's controls are well placed and intuitive to operate.
The audio system has a multifunction control knob/display screen
and the navigation system is easy to figure out.
Exterior
This Mercedes convertible looks great with its angular headlights,
flared fenders and chiseled flank, sculpted rear quarter panels,
factory mag wheels and performance tires.
Also standard are antilock brakes, an electronic stability system,
active front head restraints, pop-up roll bars and Mercedes'
Pre-Safe system. Using sensors in the brake assist and stability
systems, Pre-Safe aims to better prepare occupants for an impending
collision by cinching the front seat belts, adjusting the front
passenger seat for better seat belt and airbag orientation, and
closing the side windows.
