Vehicle Description
While all 1965 Ford Mustangs are iconic, this one is also built
with an extra dose of eye-catching character. With the GT-inspired
touches, interesting paint, low mileage, and an upgraded A/C
interior, it's the distinguished pony car for people who love
driving their classics.
There are plenty of nice red Mustangs out there, so we tend to take
notice when someone takes the time to invest in a respray of
original shade of K-code Smoke Silver Gray. It has the kind of
gloss and shine that can be a standout in a crowd. But more than
just paint, it's a true '65 Mustang - the kind of American icon
that evokes memories the moment anyone catches sight of the pony on
the grille. So it's hard to go wrong with this classic coupe. Every
piece of brightwork is complete and near pristine - from the wide
front bumper, to the door handles, to the Mustang-branded gas cap.
Completing this iconic appearance are the GT-style upgrades like
the fog lights in the grille and the dual exhaust mounted through
the rear valance. It even has the cool side scoops of the coveted
California Special. Finishing off the extra sporty package are the
styled steel wheels with cool redline tires.
Inside, this one has some great standout touches. It starts with
the factory-correct blue seats. It's a terrific complementing color
to the exterior gray, so this was ordered from day one to be a
great coordinating total package. Plus, you have all the right
iconic touches - from the dual cowl dash, to the correct mat in the
trunk. And there are plenty of nice upgrades to this classic
package to make it a great cruising machine. The cup holder center
console, AM/FM/cassette stereo, and ice-cold R134a air conditioning
means this is a classic in which everyone will want to go for a
ride. But even when you're just driving solo, this pony car is
built to make sure you have the best features. The upgraded
wood-rimmed steering wheel and large VDO tach are instant
indications this is a true driver's classic.
The 289 cubic-inch motor's trusty and powerful reputation is only
enhanced on this freshly rebuilt example. The V8's presentation
lives up to the sporty exterior with a large Cobra air topper and
matching Shelby valve covers. Plus, the polished braces and
addition of a Monte Carlo bar really adds a nice dose of speedy
flash. This V8 backs up its enhanced performance appearance by
inhaling deeply through a Holley four-barrel carburetor. And it
exhales through headers that add power as they as contribute to the
growl of the dual exhaust. To complement the added performance,
this pony car features a three-speed automatic transmission with
2,200 RPM stall, a newer steering box, and upgraded bushings.
Complete with maintenance records and the owner's manual, you're
looking at a vintage Mustang that has received all the right
investments to be a looker and a driver. So if you're been
