A Very Special & Unrivaled Specimen of the 911 Carrera
9114410067 was completed on September of 1973 in Black (A1) over
Russet Partial Leather (26) upholstery, fully draped in optional
equipment, including: U.S. specs, Targa folding top, Air
conditioning, Tinted glass all around, Bumpers with impact
absorbers f/r, oil cooler - front, Blaupunkt Bamburg radio w/
cassette player and 2 loudspeakers, Carrera script on doors in
Gold, chrome plated parts instead of matte black finish, forged
light metal wheels and rear spoiler. The Carrera was sold new
through Temple Porsche Audi of Tampa, Florida to nearby Kane
Furniture Corp on November 9, 1973, the car would later move
residence to Georgia and eventually back to Florida in the late
1990's - all under single ownership care from new.
This 911 remains in absolutely original, untouched and unmodified
condition, truly a time-warp example, with just 51,000 miles from
new. In the Fall of 2017, 9114410067's front two seats were
properly reskinned, as the original leather had become too brittle
for further preservation. A European leather specialist was
commissioned to meticulously replicate the original Russet
"Pigskin" leather, including the perforated inserts, while a local
artisan was entrusted to tailor the seats. In 2017, the Targa would
additionally receive a rebuild and refurbishment to its entire
braking system with new hoses all-around, while the original
components were restored by Karps Brake Service, all suspension and
powerplant support rubbers were replaced with new, fresh oil lines,
along with correct shock absorbers, new fuel pump, new shifter
bushings and new Pirrelli CN36 tires on all four corners. The
Carrera's Bosch fuel delivery system was also restored, along with
a new clutch and auxiliaries. After its major service the Carrera
received a 40 hour steam cleaning/detailing from top to bottom and
a 4 stage paint correction resulting in the stunning example
presented here.
This exceptional 911 is complete with ALL original owner's books
and manuals in vinyl sleeve, including the protect-o-card,
emissions book, Blaupunkt warranty card, instruction manuals and
diagrams, Hirschmann warranty pamphlet, valet and original keys,
air compressor in plastic sleeve, tool kit, dated spare wheel/tire,
jack, emergency tire bag, protective front bra and pouch, several
dated servicing records and its original window sticker! This
particular Carrera truly is a very special car to find in its state
of preservation, down to factory original paint pen markings and
intact wax seals on its smugglers box. The right colors, right
options, complete with accessories - it has it ALL, suitable for
the most astute Porsche purists and collectors. Now available for
