Stk 2372 1947 Ford Pickup Hot Rod
This 1947 Ford pick-up is a classic hot rod. The all-steel body and
bed (repainted in 2014) are channeled over the frame and a dropped
front axle gives the pick-up a great stance. The interior has been
upgraded with nice vinyl and the dash houses 'vintage look' gauges.
Horsepower is provided by a 350ci Chevy small-block that was
rebuilt in 2008. It is equipped with a mild cam, single-plane
aluminum intake, new Holley double-pumper and new MSD ignition. The
transmission is a GM350 TurboHydramatic backed by a 10-bolt
differential and 3.08:1 gearing. Electrics have been converted to a
12-volt alternator set-up and an early '30s Ford grille shell
houses an aluminum radiator for cooling. Hydraulic front discs/rear
drums provide stopping power and steel wheels (widths - 6"f/8"r)
complete the chassis. This Ford pickup is a nice driver. It belongs
