Motorcar Studio is pleased to offer this 1979 Pontiac Firebird
Trans Am, a well-documented and very original example with only
24,000 miles. Equipped with a 403 cubic inch V8 mated to an
automatic transmission. The current and third owner acquired the
car in 2007; for the last decade it has remained in climate
controlled storage and regularly serviced and exercised, while
keeping mileage to a minimum.
Factory build sheet, original window sticker, original bill of sale
and temporary tag, owner's manual, hang tags, PHS documentation,
etc. are all included with the sale. Sold new by Russ Johnson
Pontiac in Lake Orion, Michigan. Light surface rust and scale
presents on some of the suspension components, typical for a
Michigan car even with such low mileage, but the floor pans and
rockers are completely original and solid - no known rot anywhere
in this car.
Excellent paint, body, wheels, trim, glass and t-tops. One repaint
in the correct color to a very nice standard. Interior shows well
in beautifully preserved original condition. Remarkably correct and
unmolested, down to the original eight-track stereo. Fisher T-top
bags and collapsible spare in like-new condition.
Tidy and original engine compartment with all service up to date.
Runs and drives quite well. A very clean and low mileage example
that would be a welcome addition to any collection. For more
