Vehicle Description
This is a real, documented 442 with original build sheet and lots
of options. Factory Matador red. It's very easy to clone a 1972
into a 442. Most of them out there are fake. This one has the
original build sheet found on top the gas tank and it is filled
with options including W-29 442. Very clean car to begin with it.
Very possibly 31,000 original miles. The previous owner had it
stored 15 years and said the previous owner had it stored also. It
recently had its faded original paint stripped to bare metal. It
has it's original metal and floors. The 442 emblems are spaced
properly with the 4s close together, this is rare to see. Most
people space the emblems equally which is wrong. Completely
repainted a smooth glossy finish including jambs and underside of
trunk lid. Has original rear spoiler ($1,000) and sharp looking
stripe package. Restored grills, new bumpers, handles, vinyl top
and trim, weatherstrips and the stainless has been polished. SS-1
wheels are restored. Excellent glass. Clean metal trunk repainted
and has new mat, the light even works. Motor compartment is
original and has been cleaned and painted. The interior is
original, even the carpet. It's excellent considering its age, a
few buttons fell off the upholstery but the seats are firm, door
panels look great, dash area is clean. Has power windows, locks,
trunk, seat and a tilt sport wheel. Underside is super clean
original metal. Front end is rebuilt and detailed. New brakes. Has
original posi rear and F-41 suspension. This is a really clean,
sharp looking 442!
