cars produced. Driven just 85 miles since new, this 911R presents
as if it just rolled off the Zuffenhausen factory build line. With
the 4.0 liter flat six engine pushing out 500 naturally aspirated
horsepower, it is up to the driver to route said power through
Porsche's GT Sport 6-speed manual transmission.
This car represents the visceral driving package that was made
completely for the driver's enjoyment, and is the most historically
significant modern-day Porsche ever produced. Add in the host of

About the 911R:
The 2016 Porsche 911R was hailed as the ultimate 911 when Porsche
announced its production in 2016. With the Porsche GT3 and GT3 RS
unavailable with a manual transmission, enthusiasts wanted
something more engaging than what the modern dual-clutch
transmissions were offering. Porsche answered with a wolf in
sheep's clothing: the 911R. Sharing the same high revving 4.0 liter
that the GT3 RS used, Porsche removed the dual-clutch transmission
and replaced with the 6-speed GT manual transmission. A host of
aerodynamic pieces, including the large rear spoiler, were removed
to give the new 911 a stealthy appearance. Sound deadening was
removed to pronounce the mechanical noise that many cars muffle and
mute. Porsche 918 owners were given the first choice if they wanted
to purchase the limited-edition car from Porsche, making them
extremely rare. After making 991 units, Porsche ceased production
of the 911R.
