Vehicle Description
The Shelby name will always ignite your enthusiast heart. But when
you can find a 2007 Ford Mustang Shelby GT that is so fresh and
with such low mileage (there are even still factory markings) then
you know you've found a great collectable. Then again, a V8
stick-shift Mustang that's been enhanced for driving is something
what should also enjoy the open road, too.
The Shelby GTs were part of a two-year limited production that took
out love for the GT-H Hertz cars and put them directly into our
hands without hitting the rental fleet. The Shelby GT package added
a deeper front air dam, a special billet grille with offset Mustang
emblem, hood pins, and a hood scoop. Out back, you get big SHELBY
block letters as well as a diffuser panel under the bumper and twin
exhaust tips that shine brightly. While averaging less than 1,700
miles annually already clues you in on how well this one has been
treated from day one, its exceptional condition is the real proof
of its preservation. The black paint retains a showroom level of
shine. And those premium 18-inch black alloys look fantastic with a
matching level of luster. Plus, the full silver striping package
does a great job announcing that you are taking the reins of a
special pony.
The interior has been treated with just as much respect as the
exterior, and so this one still feels factory fresh. More than just
a great preservation, you're going to love this because it's a
modern classic with all the best amenities. This includes air
conditioning, cruise control, power windows, power locks, keyless
entry, dual front airbags, and side airbags. Plus, the factory
radio is the Shaker 500 AM/FM stereo with six-disc changer and an
input for you modern iPod. But more than just a coddler, this is a
pure driving machine. The driver's leather bucket seat power
adjusts to get you in your perfect position, and the leather
wrapped three-spoke sports steering wheel give you a clear view at
the full gauge package. Plus, as a Shelby, you get a signed and
numbered plaque on the dash, as well as a Hurst cue ball for the
short shifter on the five-speed manual transmission.
Ford's 4.6-liter V8 was given some nice upgrades for duty in the
Shelby GT. This original numbers-matching powerplant came with a
cold air induction system and the Ford Racing Power Upgrade
Package, which ups output to 319 horsepower and 330 pounds of
torque. There's also a strut tower brace that really makes a
statement in the tidy engine bay and provides yet another reminder
that this is no garden-variety Mustang. Underneath there's an
X-pipe exhaust system that gives the Shelby a distinctive sound.
While you're looking at the undercarriage, marvel at how little
this has this has been driven so that even the factory stickers and
markings are on many components. This car features Ford's Racing
Handling Pack, which includes specially tuned shocks & struts,
lowering springs, larger sway bars, and a 3.55 limited slip rear
end. Add in power steering, four-wheel disc brakes, ABS, and sticky
BF Goodrich gForce tires, and you have a total package worthy to
carry 'ol Shell's name.
And because this remains in the right collectable and preserved
condition, the sale also comes with the paperwork to continue this
legacy. This includes the original window stickers (Ford & Shelby),
dealer invoice, maintenance records, and more. So if you're a fan
of Shelbys, or just like modern distinct classics, this is the
speedy machine that checks all the right boxes... and it's
available right now for quite an obtainable price. Call
