For sale in our Fort Lauderdale showroom is this attention grabbing
1979 Jeep CJ5. Nicknamed "High Risk II", this modified Jeep is
easily one of the most fun vehicles we have come across. The "CJ"
is short for Civilian Jeep as these Jeeps have roots back to the
military. A whopping 603,303 CJ5's were produced between 1955 and
1983. Despite the popularity, finding restored Jeeps in this
condition is becoming increasingly difficult. This bright orange,
four wheeled, fun machine is gel coated making for a very durable
exterior. On the rear of the vehicle, "High Risk II" is painted
onto the body, as is the engine size and model on the sides of the
vehicle. Also in the same orange color are two matching fire
extinguishers. This Jeep is 100 percent road legal. The black vinyl
top works well with black frame that is exposed under the body.
Under the hood you will find a 304 cid motor mated to a 3-speed
manual transmission. This Jeep drives very well and is smooth under
acceleration. This is backed by a 12 bolt rear end. The engine bay
also has plenty of chrome, from the alternator, to the fan shroud,
to the air cleaner and valve covers. There is also a gear selection
based on the type of driving you will be doing, be it off roading,
or cruising. The exhaust system consists of long tube headers
leading to dual side exit exhaust tips. Inside this Jeep is
polished aluminum in all of the right spots. There is an Indy shift
knob and pioneer speakers in the rear. This CJ5 sits on American
Racing wheels wrapped in some monstrous go-anywhere tires. These
extra large tires measure in at a massive 35 inches by 12.5 inches.
This lifted Jeep is perfect for anything you throw at it. Go
mudding, to the beach, off-roading, or just take it on a trip
around town. Let it ride!!! This 1979 Jeep CJ5 can be seen in
