: Dubbed "Super Hugger", the second-generation Camaro was developed without the rush of the first generation and benefited from a greater budget justified by the success of the first generation. Although it was an all-new car, the basic mechanical layout of the new Camaro was familiar, engineered much like its predecessor with a unibody structure utilizing a front subframe, A-arm and coil spring front suspension, and rear leaf springs. The chassis and suspension of the second generation were greatly refined in both performance and comfort; base models offered significant advances in sound-proofing, ride isolation, and road-holding. Extensive experience Chevrolet engineers had gained racing the first-generation led directly to advances in second-generation Camaro steering, braking, and balance.
In an age of resto-mod-everything, it's refreshing to see a highly original classic that both looks and drives close to new. This beautiful Type LT was restored very close to original with only black stripes being added to its originality. Per the previous owner, this Camaro has seen only 62k miles of asphalt since new. Our inspection would agree with this claim although we have no supporting documentation to collaborate it. The paint (completed in 2017), chrome, and glass on this Chevy are in excellent condition. The interior is very clean with the noted exception of some scuffs on the inside driver door panel. We performed a 30 mile test drive and the vehicle drives great and everything works like it should. We wouldn't hesitate to put the new owner behind the wheel and let him drive cross country to get home. Features and options include; 350 V8, Auto, RWD, Power Steering & Brakes, Factory A/C, Bucket Seats, Center Console, Woodgrain Interior Trim, AM/FM/8-Track, Tilt Steering, Tinted Glass, Rear Spoiler, 14" Rally Wheels, and Thick P235/60R14 Tires!
