The California is full of firsts for Ferrari. It is the first-mounted V-8-engine Ferrari to use direct injection, dual-clutch automated manual transmission and the first true launch-control system. However, Ferrari’s racing lineage has not been changed with the development of this car. It has more eloquently expanded the range of Ferrari’s. The California is a leather lined, 2+2 coupé, but please be advise only children can fit in the back seats that screams Ferrari’s racing heritage.  The California produces 454 hp and 357lb-ft of torque. The dual clutch seven speed automated manual gearbox is close to perfection and is way better than the old F1 automated manual. The shifts in the dual clutch are made in nanoseconds. The neck-snapping caused by the F1 is completely gone. The California does 0-60 in an astonishing 3.5 seconds and the quarter mile in 11.9 seconds. However, the true engineering genius behind the California is the retractable hardtop. The chassis does not lose any of its structural rigidity. Many have speculated why Ferrari stacked the exhaust pipes, was it for styling? No, Ferrari does not build vehicles based on styling. Everything is done for a specific reason. At high speeds air pressure will build up in the wheel wells, therefore creating a lift. Ferrari knew this and put a vent in the back of the wheel well. The solution eliminated the possibility of the car’s rear end getting light while playing in the triple-digit zone. The California is the best of both worlds; a comfortable daily cruiser and flip the switch to sport mode it becomes a track ready performer.

It’s a summer morning, there is a slight breeze and the temperature is around 75 degrees. There isn’t a cloud in the sky and the sun is shining on the back of your neck. As you elegantly weave through the backroads you smile, as you have done over and over again. The Grigio Silverstone Metallic glistens and sparkles as the sun pierces through the tree’s. The active sports exhaust produces a menacing roar and as you put your foot down to the floor the chorus gets louder. As the RPM needle approaches redline your hands grasps a firm piece of alloy that is mounted to the steering column. The design of the paddle shifters has an elegant artistic flair that embody Ferrari’s racing-bred heritage. With a slight pull the upshifts are instantaneous and refined. As you approach the stop light and push down on the brake pedal the racing black Brembo brake calibers bring you to a complete stop with poise and grace. With a quick glance to left your and right you see no other vehicles. With a slight smile you push the accelerator to the floor and you’ve already reached 60 MPH’s in 3.5 seconds. As you whip around the corner you are yet again impressed with the California because it has no understeer, it takes the corner with ease. As you approach your office building and park your California in your favorite spot. Away from all of the other vehicles, tucked in a corner with a cement support beam to your right and the cement wall to your left. With a quick flick of the convertible switch the Ferrari hardtop opens from the trunk and goes up at a 90-degree angle. You are amazed by the speed at which the hardtop and the trunk swing almost centimeters apart before the hardtop is secured into place. That’s Ferrari’s craftsmanship at its finest. With a quick click of the lock button on the Ferrari red racing key, you rejoice. Why? This is because your California is your daily driver.

This particular Ferrari California comes with a whole range of options and added goodies. To begin, from the factory it received Daytona Seat style, Central Tunnel and Arms in leather. Electronically operated seats, Scuderia Ferrari Shields, Magneride Dual Mode, Parking Camera, Front and Rear parking sensors, Yellow Rev. Counter and many more options. In addition, there is a LOJACK system installed along with Front and Rear Radar. There is a button underneath the steering column that opens up the valves in the exhaust to keep it in sport mode all the time. A clear BRA has been installed on the front of the California and wraps around half way up the doors. Both of the front tires were replaced recently and a four-wheel alignment was performed. This Ferrari has been kept in excellent condition. Everything functions and looks beautiful in the interior. We have the original window sticker, red-Ferrari jump bag, and red-Ferrari book.
