Completely restored and ready for a Sunday cruise! This 1937 Dodge
Sedan originally made for "Young business executives", is brought
back to its former glory and would make a perfect around town
driver. Back in 1937 when the Dodge brothers released this stunning
sedan, the world was going through big changes. Henry Ford had just
initiated the 32 hour work week, Amelia Earhart disappeared over
the Pacific Ocean, and the tragic event of the Hindenburg exploding
mid-flight killing 36 people. It was truly a different time and
when you get in this old Dodge, you can almost picture what it must
have been like to live in such an era. Slide into the front seat of
the car across the mohair interior and take hold of the larger than
life steering wheel to compensate for the lack of power steering.
Around the windows and across the dash you will find craftsmanship
of what you may find with a fine watch. The wood grained style
paired with the metal trim rings around the gauges is difficult to
beat. Now it's time to start it up; simply press the turn the key,
press the clutch in, pull the choke out a bit, adjust your
throttle, and press on the starter button near your accelerator.
The inline six cylinder engine that came with the car some 90 years
ago comes to life! Let it warm up and press in your choke again.
Now you are ready to really start enjoying your cruise. Put the
gear lever in first and release the clutch, and enjoy the smooth
ride that comes with owning a Dodge. One of the biggest claims they
made when the car was new that it will save you money on fuel on
your commute. That may not necessarily be true anymore, but what it
lacks in fuel economy it makes up for in excitement! If it feels as
if it is getting a little stuffy in the cabin, reach to the center
of the dash and turn the knob to tilt the windshield out giving you
a refreshing breeze of outside air. This old Dodge is the perfect
weekend cruiser and will be a huge homerun like one you would have
seen out of Babe Ruth when this car was new. This vehicle is
