Chevrolet Bel Air 2 door Hardtop Drag Car. This Bel Air is no joke
and means business. If you are looking for a classic Drag Car with
top of the line, modern performance and excellent build quality,
you've found it. The heart of this Classic Dragster is a
professionally built 476 CI big block Chevy with 15:1 compression
ratio. This engine has been decked, squared, and align honed. The
top of the block is O-ringed with copper head gaskets. The engine
has an 1150CFM Barry Grant Dominator with Barry Grant Fuel Log on a
Holley Strip Dominator Manifold. This has Top Proline 360 cylinder
heads and Ferrea Valves. This bad boy has a Crane mechanical roller
cam with Pete Jackson gear drive, Harland sharp roller rockers, and
Smith Bros pushrods. This big block Chevy engine has forged rods,
pistons, and crankshaft. The hardware and fasteners are ARP, and
the ceramic coated headers have a 5 inch turndowns. This engine is
internally balanced and the flywheel is SFI. Mated to this monster
engine is a professionally built ATI short shaft, 2 speed
Powerglide transmission with ATI trans brake and Big Planetary gear
set. You will also find a PCT 5000 torque converter with fluid
diode as well as an SFI flywheel housing shield and SFI oil pan
shield. The trans fluid lines are steel braided #6 and Russel
fittings with a remote Hayden trans cooler and clip down positive
seal trans fill tube. With regards to the rear end, there is a Dana
60 with Strange Spool and 456/488 gears. There Strange axels with
big end bearings. The brakes have Strange calipers and gun drilled
rotors with stainless steel braided flex hoses. You will also find
the following: -Dual Stage Master Cylinder with back flow checks
and adjustable proportioning valve -Adjustable wheelie bars with
quick disconnect pins -14x32 Hoosier Slicks wrapped around Weld
wheels in the rear -Moroso frontrunners on Super Trick wheels -2x3
Mild steel chassis -Mustang front suspension -Adjustable coil over
Strange shocks on front and rear -Top Gun four link rear suspension
with chromoly rod ends -Diest parachute with release cable by the
shifter -Kurkey seat with vinyl cover and Cam Lock harness -Cheeta
shifter with reverser and line lock in handle -Harwood fiberglass
hood and insert, hood scoop, doors, trunk lid -Ed Quay rear wing
