The Mercedes-Benz SL series started out as the top of the line
sports luxury tourer that offered both performance and comfort. The
third generation SL was called the R107 chassis and is one of the
most recognizable Mercedes of all time. Produced from 1971 all the
way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life. The United
States was an extremely popular market for the personal luxury
coupe and almost ? of all SL's were sold here. Unfortunately, US
regulations mandated big bumpers, low power headlights, and
emission choked engines. While not as quick or pretty as their
European cousins, the US market SL's still represented the cream of
the personal luxury car crop.
The 1984 Mercedes Benz offered here was purchased according to the
original window sticker was purchased new at Bergstrom Motor
Company of Santa Cruz, CA. the car comes fully equipped with its
proven 3.8 liter light alloy overhead cam V-8 with fuel injection,
4-speed automatic transmission and rear wheel drive. In classic
Mercedes fashion, these cars were the perfect blend between sport
and luxury with a long list of standard features including: power
steering, cruise control, climate control, electric windows,
central locking system, tinted glass, fully independent suspension,
breakerless transistorized ignition, power assisted four wheel disc
brakes, light alloy wheels, elecrtronic am/fm stereo with cassette,
automatic antenna with selective height adjustment, rear defrost on
hard top, 2-speed windshield wipers with 5-second interval mist
control, tachometer, electrically operated passenger outside
mirror, adjustable front bucket seats, front folding arm rest,
halogen head lamps and fog lamps, etc. The car comes dressed in its
original Silver Blue metallic paint over its classic original
Mercedes leather interior with Dark blue soft top. The car remains
in excellent overall condition featuring fine mechanicals,
excellent drivability, an original interior that remains wonderful
in all areas showing proper patina in all the right areas, and the
exterior paint shows glossy in all areas. At just over 120000 well
kept miles, this 380 SL roadster offers much motoring enjoyment to
its next owner.

including valet key, all books and cards in its original plastic
port folio etc.
