Camino

Wonderful original condition
235.5 cid I-6 engine
3-speed transmission
Introduced in response to the successful Ford Ranchero, Chevrolet’s
first generation El Camino was based on the Brookwoods wagon with
bold styling derived from the contemporary Bel Air. It was also
more successful on the showroom floor than the competition from
Dearborn and was offered with an array of powerplants and trim
levels to match any taste and budget. It was removed from the
market after sales slowed, but would return again in 1964.
The Motorcar Offered This
stunning original El Camino was purchased from the family of the
original owner in 1990 with 65,000 miles showing on the odometer.
Purchased new by the proverbial little old lady, she drove the car
on a vacation to California during the Sixties and the windshield
still bears evidence from her trip in the form of decals from Death
Valley and Yosemite National Park. With the exception of a small
repaint to repair some vandalism in the 70s, this time warp vehicle
still wears its original paint and interior trim. Carefully
maintained and serviced, it is reported to run and drive
excellently. It is rare to find a first generation El Camino in
this condition, making it a sound investment to treasure that is
almost certain to
appreciate.
