Manufactured from 1933 to 1942, Chevrolet’s Master Series was an
aspirational model for most customers. The Master 85 was the base
model for 1939, which introduced new art deco styling that was
evocative of the far more expensive Cadillac. The most important
new feature was a coil spring and wishbone suspension, which
replaced the troublesome knee-action layout used previously.
Despite the affordable purchase price, the Model 85 retained many
features from the previous De Luxe model and is valued today for
its unmistakable 1930s appearance and impeccable ride quality.

This attractive example is the recipient of a complete
restoration that has resulted in a car that drives as good as it
looks. The 206 cid inline six-cylinder engine runs smoothly and
propels the car nicely down the road. Larger rolling stock on
custom wheels improve the handling and ride quality immeasurably,
making this an outstanding oldie to drive to local shows and
cruise-in events.
