Vehicle Description
The restoration on this custom pickup started back in the '90s with
all-new front sheet metal directly from GM. Next came shaved doors,
drip rails, side markers, stake pockets, firewall and all moldings.
The doors now have pushbutton actuators. The complete rebuild
includes all-new Year One bolts, fasteners, body bumpers, weather
stripping and gaskets. After the huge rear tubs were installed, it
was painted Viper Red. AutoMeter Pro gauges were installed
throughout along with a sound damping pad. The seat, headliner and
door panels were rebuilt and custom upholstered. It is powered by a
built 454ci Chevy big block engine backed by a TH400 automatic
transmission that puts the power to the Ford 9" rear engine with
3:89 gears. The heads are from a 427 with oval port castings and
2.19 and 1.88 SS small stem valves, bronze guides, hardened seats,
3-angle valve, hand-ported and gasket-matched, with roller rockers.
It is topped with a hand-polished Edelbrock manifold and Holley 750
carburetor. It features Headman Elite headers with 2.5" dual
exhaust pipes flowing into 40 series Flowmaster mufflers. It rides
on brand-new custom-built billet American Force wheels.
