Vehicle Description
This S281, serial #06-600, started as a Mustang GT and was
transformed by Saleen. The headlights were replaced with HID bulbs,
the fog lights relocated, and the front fascia is changed. The
Saleen treatment adds 20 additional horsepower to the V8 engine,
and the 5-speed manual transmission has a short-throw shifter. The
stock suspension was replaced with a Racecraft suspension and
Saleen wheels. The stainless-steel exhaust system sounds great and
exits at the center of the rear bumper. The interior is also highly
modified with Saleen sport seats and a modified gauge package. A
newer Pioneer large-screen radio works with the Shaker sound
system. Out back the body kit wraps completely around the rear of
the car. This Saleen S-281 has always been in warm rust-free
Arizona and has been regularly maintained. CARFAX shows Ford Motor
Company manufacturer safety recall opened on 06/30/2016: Takata
non-desiccated phased ammonium nitrate psan passenger frontal
airbag inflators.
