Vehicle Description
This nicely-optioned Stingray was originally finished in Marina
Blue with black vinyl bucket seats when it was delivered from the
St. Louis factory on June 1, 1967, to San Luis Obispo, CA. It is
powered by a 427/390hp 8-cylinder engine and Muncie M21 4-speed
manual transmission with a posi-traction 3:36 rear axle. It is
optioned with black trim, tinted glass, headrest bench seats,
shoulder harnesses and AM/FM radio. The third owner, repainted the
car in Ekhart Blue, but kept the interior original. The most recent
owner completely stripped down and rotisserie-restored the car,
this time painting it in Lynndale Blue. It still retains its
original interior. The engine was fully rebuilt and machined. An
extensive book of records and photographs accompany the vehicle
along with registration papers back to the very first owner.
Documents also include the original owners and warranty booklets in
the original plastic sleeve and the original Tank Sticker. Corvette
specialist and NCRS Master Judge, Al Grenning of CCAS LLC was hired
to verify the Trim Tag, Protect-O-Plate and engine pad of this
coupe in an effort to confirm its authenticity.
