This car is in nice running and driving condition. Good syncros' in all gears. Swepco fluids used. Pulls strong and brakes straight.
Stock mechanicals with a lot of money and time spent on refreshing the car begining in 1998 with the motor all the way to the cosmetics in 2006.
Complete rebuild in 1998 at 121k miles by Paul Weir in Seattle. At that time a new aluminum pressure plate and clutch installed. Carrera chain tensioners installed and pop off valve. (see attached service overview)
Paint is bright on the car and shows well. Some pealing at the top of door just below the trim. Lower front bumper and valence have rocks nicks with some wear. A consistent color overall. Finished in it’s original color of Ruby Red Metallic. Original fenders. Doors and panels shut correctly, very good gaps.
The car has a nice interior with stock appointments, power windows, 5 speed manual transmission, AM/FM/CD player. (Stereo face plate and rear speakers have been upgraded.) The dash is crack free. The original seats are dry particularly the drivers seat which also has some tears. The carpets are original and in nice condition. Original glass with the exception of the windshield. All electrical works as designed. (A/C has been removed.)
H4 headlights, with new front marker lights and seals in 2006.
Targa top is in nice condition with a good fit (refinished in 2000.) Minimal wind noise. Good headliner.
Lowered to Euro ride height in 2006. Turbo tie rod ends. New front and rear sway bar bushings.
Bridgestone RE050A tires front and rear in good condition. Original Fuch Alloys done by Brite wheels in Redondo Beach, Ca. Crossed drilled rotors. New calipers seals and brake lines in 2004.
Original date coded spare included.
The manual, tool kit, compressor, jack and service file will be presented to the new owner.
