FORD GALAXIE 500/XL CONVERTIBLE How much luxury can you get in a
convertible at a Ford price? You get a Thunderbird "floating"
mirror, shell seats with elegant leather-soft vinyl trim and a
Command console. Drop the top and it tucks neatly under its taut
padded boot,all fasteners concealed. Raised your view out the rear
is through a big clear glass window not the ordinary plastic. This
one is built for: TOTAL PERFORMANCE .... ....to ride solidly
,quietly......handle and hold the road as is it was part of it! (so
says Ford in their brochure) OUR VEHICLE: This is a really solid
vehicle with power steering and power brakes. It has the optional
352 big block with 4bbl carb powering through a C4 3speed automatic
transmission. Repainted once10 years ago in the original vintage
burgundy with a palomino interior .The vehicle is all original with
some new parts including a new top and cover, front wheel bearings
and inner and outer seals. New rear axel bearings and seal were
installed . Brakes were redone with new lines, wheel cylinders,
adjusters, springs, drums, shoes master cylinder and brake booster.
WOW in other words all new brake system. New auto meter golden
oldie gauges(Tach,oil pressure,water temp,and voltage) have been
installed. A very eye catching color combination ,well restored,
new brakes and a strong 5.8L V8 breathing through a 4bbl with dual
exhaust projects a nice sound and good performance. Available now
