Vehicle Description
You can instantly tell this is a special shining example of an
interesting pickup. That's because you're looking at a 2008 Ford
F-150 that's an official Boyd Coddington special edition, and #9 of
only 50 units produced. That means a serious upgrade in style,
luxury, and desirability - all for an affordable price.
The specialists at Advanced Truck teamed up with Boyd Coddington
for a limited run of special F-150s. And you can really tell this
pickup has his style master's touch to it. After all, the factory
applied Shadow Dark Gray has a terrific metallic element, and they
were able to amplify that with brightwork that warps around the
entire lower portion of this truck - it's almost like a two-tone of
champagne and chrome. Plus, the billet grille, metallic-style front
shield, door handles, and all that Boyd Coddington signature
badging contribute to this standout shine. And of course, this
would not be a true Coddington masterpiece without a great set of
wheels, and those large 20-inch Flare models are true
attention-grabbers. But as good as this one looks, don't be afraid
to continue with real truck duty. Beneath the folding tonneau cover
is a thick rubber bed mat. Plus, you have a trailer ball and
complete wiring harness off of the rear.
When you open the door, there are more great signs that this is not
ordinary pickup. The seats are a terrific custom creation with gray
leather, bright orange suede inserts, and matching orange
stitching. And the Boyd Coddington signature logo is embroidered
into each one. The package also comes with other great touches like
unique mirror gauges and a plaque on the passenger side dash.
Besides just the custom touches, this is a great place to spend
some time because it's a loaded pickup. The split bench offers
seating for three total, or you can fold down the cup holder center
console for bucket-like comfort. It even power adjusts to you
perfect driving position. Plus, there's power windows, power locks,
keyless entry, cruise control, dual airbags, power mirrors, an
AM/FM/CD stereo with aux input, and ice cold air conditioning.
Under the hood is Ford's 5.4-liter modular V8. This fuel-injected
powerplant is exactly what you want in a modern classic like this.
It has a great setup that deliver linear power and plenty of it
(that's why a variation would find its way into the Mustang.) And
because it's a modern motor, it fires up easily, idles smoothly,
and makes a nice noise out of this special edition's side exhaust.
No matter if you use this limited edition pickup for work or play,
you'll appreciate great driving features like the four-speed
automatic transmission w/overdrive, power steering, and four-wheel
disc brakes w/ABS.
Boyd Coddington passed away in 2008, and that makes this '08 F-150
feel extra special. So when a shining example of an automotive
legend is this affordable, you know you need to hurry to grab it.
