Gateway Classic Cars of Orlando is proud to present this 1966
Pontiac GTO. This 1966. GTO must be one of the best examples we
have seen. Full Frame off restoration completed by the South 40
Collection. This car shimmers in the sunlight in its beautiful
Barrier blue. The chrome and bright work are in excellent shape. Of
course, the real determining factor on any muscle car is what's
under the hood. This gem has the 389 Tri Power that runs and looks
as good or better as the day it left the lot. The Tri Power setup
was gone through with all the Carbs rebuilt and tuned this baby
will even idle and if you ever tinkered with this set up that is
saying a lot. Matched up to the Muncie 4 speed transmission going
through the gears is one of the best feelings any car enthusiast
could have. The interior looks like it's never even been sit in.
The black buckets remind you that the contoured seats of then are
nothing like today's huge side bolstered buckets, but that's the
whole point of these muscle cars. The GTO is what many will say
started the Muscle car craze in 1964. John DeLorean was "the man
with the plan" if you will, but Bill Collins and Russ Gee played a
huge role in its development. There had been other cars long before
the GTO that offered hopped up engines but were only available in
the full-size cars and very limited in production. The GTO would be
the first intermediate sized car that would be available to the
masses and not to mention affordable. This would turn into to be a
very successful formula and soon you would see every automaker
struggling to catch up. If you want a car that is sure to get
thumbs up at every stop light and has all the criteria that
collectors demand, this fully restored beauty is. Options on this
1966 Pontiac GTO include, Vinyl Interior, Seat Belts, Am Radio,
