Vehicle Description
The 1973 Pontiac Trans Am already represents an iconic year for T/A
fans, so when a bright red coupe with serious V8 power comes your
way, you know it's time to take notice.
Red makes for a great muscle car, but this is the one that does it
a bit better. The 1973 car were the last ones to have some iconic
features. This includes the unobstructed urethane nose, and a touch
of chrome with the classic bumper that fits the contours of the
sculpted rear end. This gave it a much tighter design before the
new bumper laws were in place. And so it's the ideal one to
showcase the deep chin spoiler, flared wheel wells, and full-width
rear spoiler of the Trans Am. When it's combined with the shaker
hood, air extractors on the front fenders, and iconic hood bird,
the impression is full-on aggressive.
Just like the exterior, the interior looks like a true performance
machine, but this time all rendered in black. Nicely bolstered
bucket seats, an armrest center console, and Pontiac's iconic
three-spoke sports steering wheel make this the perfect atmosphere
for the driver. The machine-turned dash panel is a sporty way to
frame all the gauges. While there is an upgraded AM/FM/CD stereo to
play the best modern tunes, this T/A has been upgraded under the
hood, too. So your favorite soundtrack will likely be controlled by
your right foot.
On a fiery red T/A, you know you want the top dog motor. That's why
it made sense to Pontiac to have the beastly 455ci V8 shoe-horned
in the engine bay. Pontiac's largest V8 looks like it has belonged
in the engine bay since day one with the correct turquoise block,
correct decals, and correct shaker gaskets on top. You can also
tell this monster motor received good care over the years with all
the tidy components as well as fresh belts and hoses. The V8
inhales deeply through a four-barrel carburetor, and it exhales
with authority out of the newer stainless dual exhaust. You'll love
this package on the road, as a tip of the throttle will feel like
diving into a well of bottomless torque. Plus, features like the
stout TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, power steering, and
front disc brakes are great for cruising any time. The thick sway
bars front & rear as well as the BF Goodrich T/A on iconic Rally II
wheels give this one good handling for a muscle machine.
Complete with service manuals, this is the right look and big power
you love about the Trans Am. So don't let something this ideal slip
