Vehicle Description
This Corvette is a state-of-the-art, no-expense-spared custom
frame-off restoration with the original 1954 Corvette classic
exterior look. All of its mechanical components were rebuilt or
restored during that time. It is powered by a brand-new, recently
installed GM Performance LS3 430hp engine backed by a Richmond
5-speed manual transmission with long shifter, and a GM wiring
harness with computer. The body has been mini-tubbed with a
narrowed Currie Ford 9" posi-traction rear end. It is equipped with
front and rear power disc brakes, a new Jim Meyer front suspension,
including tubular A-arms, Viking adjustable coilover springs, power
rack & pinion steering, and Hooker cast-iron headers with custom 3"
exhaust. It is also equipped with a Be Cool aluminum radiator with
electric fans and new American Autowire wiring harnesses. The
rust-free frame was powder-coated, and the nice, straight body was
finished in show-quality black base coat/clear coat paint with
rechromed bumpers and windshield assembly. All of the
weatherstripping was replaced, the undercarriage detailed and the
convertible top frame restored with a new Stayfast canvas top. The
custom Al Knoch black leather interior features leather-covered
seats and door panels with the correct 1954 look, Daytona carpet, a
custom Corvette Correction leather steering wheel with Ididit
steering column, Classic Instruments gauges, and a custom 6-speaker
and 2-amplifier sound system with trunk-mounted bass speakers and
trunk-mounted battery. Riding on Boyd Junkyard Dog rear chrome
wheels with BFGoodrich radial TA tires, this fantastic street rod
'Vette was built to drive and enjoy, with all of today's latest
technology while retaining the original 1954 look.
