Vehicle Description
The Chevelle was a mid-size model that was produced over a few
generations starting in 1964. The second generation is arguably the
most popular and featured a distinctly sculpted "coke bottle" body
with tapered fenders and a rear quarter kick up. A variety of
engines were on offer but the most potent and powerful being the
454cid V8 in the SS. The 1972 model year SS came with a new net
rating of 270hp although it wasn't that big of a real power drop
from previous years.
The 1972 Chevy Chevelle offered here is powered by a 454 v8, that
according to the owner has been rebuilt, and also has been bored
.60 over to a 468 cubic inch and has a Weiand B&M supercharger.
The transmission is a turbo 400. The car runs and shifts very well.
The car features a 373 posi rear end, new Disc brakes, new 3"
Flowmaster super 10 exhaust, new interior, new fiberglass 4 inch
cowl hood, new 20 inch Ridler wheels with new tires, new Alpine
stereo system with Fosgate speakers, Rhino lined trunk, the
undercarriage has been Rustoleum coated, 10k Hid headlights, SS
badging and trim, brakes, power steering and more. This car is a
blast to drive and sounds excellent and is certainly a must
have.
