Vehicle Description
This Thunderbird convertible has less than 150 miles on its full
rotisserie restoration to original specifications. It rides on
upgraded Kelsey Hayes wire wheels with red/white line tires that
were only ever offered on 1965 and 1966 Thunderbirds. The exterior
is finished in Patrician Green base coat / clear coat paint with
Corinthian White leather interior seats and door panels and
Patrician Green carpet. The radio has been upgraded to a modern
AM/FM stereo receiver with a retro look. Its original 390ci engine
has been completely rebuilt as well as its original Cruise-O-Matic
automatic transmission. The fuel and brake systems are new and/or
rebuilt. The original cruise control is non-working. Completed in
the summer of 2015, the restoration on this T-Bird included an
engine and transmission rebuild, complete brake system rebuild with
DOT-5 silicone fluid, master cylinder, booster and wheel cylinders
with new brake lines, and a rebuilt fuel system including tank,
carburetor, fuel pump and lines. It also included all-new
weatherstripping throughout, complete new interior including the
door panels, seats and carpet, a reclining passenger seat with
adjustable headrest, new correct trunk interior, a new black
Stay-Fast soft-top, five new period-correct red and white striped
tires and new Thunderbird wire wheels, a new exhaust, and new
chrome throughout. An all-new convertible operating system pump,
relays and limit switches were installed. It features sequential
turn signals, power steering brakes and windows, swing-away
steering wheel, a new AM/FM replica radio, power antenna, and air
conditioning. This T-Bird is ready to be driven and enjoyed.
