Vehicle Description
Just consigned by the longtime owner, owned since 1989. He had the
car in storage for many years and pulled it out for use in 2012 and
had many repairs done to get it to peak performance. (see photo of
a partial repair list below)
The paint was done in the early 1990's and is showing some age with
thinning in some spots. The front bumper suffers from the common
1973-1974 plastic disintegration and should be replaced with a
readily available reproduction part.
The interior is in great shape with recently added Corbeau seats
and new factory correct seat belts. Factory options include 4 speed
transmission, t-tops, A/C, power steering, power brakes, power
windows and power antenna. All options work great including the air
conditioning. All gauges work with the exception of the factory
tach due to the installation of an HEI distributor. Nice Alpine
stereo system.
The car has a balanced and blueprinted 350 engine that was built
approx 10k miles ago. It is not the original to the car but is
supposed to be casting # correct. It is a 4 bolt main block that
was decked .012 and bored .030 over. It has a Crane part #113942
hydraulic cam. This engine definitely has quite a performance boost
over the original engine. The 4 speed transmission shifts great.
All brakes work great. The car runs and drives excellent.
During the 29 year ownership of the car, the owner has never driven
it in the rain and it has always been garaged. It is only being
sold because his work commitments are getting ready to force the
car back into storage and he is not looking forward to another $9k
repair bill like the one he has recently paid. It is time to move
it on to someone that will enjoy it on a regular basis.
